Bluewater Auto and Tire Service was started with a simple philosophy in mind. We believe that if we treat our customers with the same support and consideration that we would expect for ourselves, those customers will return to our shop and support our business. After ten years and shops in two locations, we have learned that building trust in this way helps us to offer great service and develop friendships while we are at it. We are very grateful for all of our friends and customers from all over Grey and Bruce Counties. We would not be here without you, and we are happy that you have chosen us to keep you on the road!
We opened our first shop in 2012 in Owen Sound. We were located right next door to the legion on 14th St west. We added a wheel alignment machine in 2014 and Road Force Balancing in 2015. We spent a fantastic 5 years at this location, however our franchisor was unable to ensure lease security and we were forced to relocate in 2017. Due to contract issues we were not allowed to inform our customer base where we were going. Many of our customers from Owen Sound were able to track us down anyway at our new location and we were very touched by this. After 5 years we are still seeing familiar faces come through these doors for the first time.
Despite the uncertainty and difficulty of this time, with the help of our family members we were able to move all of our equipment and assets to our new shop. When we moved to Chesley, we purchased Am Automotive, which had been providing repairs to Chesleyites since 1994. In 2017 the name was changed to Bluewater Auto and Tire Service to help spread the word about our competencies in tire service.
Chesley is a great community that has offered us a warm welcome and great friendship since we arrived. We enjoy being a part of this group of hard working and sincere people. We try to foster an environment of friendship and trust within our organization as well. Our business philosophy of treating others how we would wish to be treated extends to the shop too. With a customer base that spans all directions for over an hour of drive time and a wide variety of cars and trucks both foreign and domestic, there is seldom a dull moment.
Moving forward, we remain committed to continuous improvement in every area of our operations. We desire to change and adapt and become better, just as the entire automotive industry has done. We want to be your trusted partner and help you stay safe, and get to where you need to be on time.
